XELF II Self Check-In Terminal for Modern Hospitality Operations

FEC UK is pleased to present the XELF II self check-in terminal, designed to support hotels, serviced apartments and visitor-facing facilities with a more efficient guest arrival process.

In hospitality environments, reception teams are often required to manage multiple tasks at the same time, from guest enquiries and booking amendments to payments, key issuing and local service support. During busy check-in periods, routine administrative steps can quickly create queues and increase pressure on front desk staff.

XELF II helps reduce this pressure by allowing guests to complete key check-in steps through a self-service terminal. The system is designed to handle repetitive tasks while allowing hotel teams to remain available for guests who require personal assistance, special requests or higher-value service interaction.

Powered by PP9732W Panel PC

The XELF II configuration is paired with FEC’s 22″ PP9732W panel PC, providing a clear and practical interface for guest interaction. The large display area supports a simple self-service workflow, helping guests follow each stage of the check-in process with minimal staff intervention.

For hospitality operators, this combination offers a practical hardware platform for self-service deployment, particularly in hotels, serviced apartments, short-stay accommodation and other visitor-facing environments.

Four-Step Self Check-In Workflow

1. Reservation and ID Verification

Guests can scan their booking QR code and passport or ID to retrieve and verify their reservation. This helps reduce manual front desk handling and supports a more structured arrival process.

2. Complete Payment

The terminal can support the required payment step, depending on the selected payment configuration. This allows guests to complete payment as part of the self-guided check-in journey.

3. Print Receipt

A receipt can be printed automatically for the guest’s records, helping provide a clear and consistent transaction process.

4. Receive Room Key

Once the check-in process is complete, an encoded key card can be dispensed from the terminal, allowing guests to proceed directly to their room.

Check-Out Support

In addition to check-in, the same terminal can also support a simple check-out process by allowing guests to return their key card. This can help reduce routine reception workload, particularly during peak departure periods.

Designed for UK Hospitality Use

For UK hospitality operators, self-service technology is not about removing the human element from guest service. It is about using automation for repetitive tasks, while allowing staff to focus on the areas where personal support matters most.

XELF II is suitable for a range of hospitality and visitor-facing applications, including hotels, serviced apartments, short-stay accommodation, reception areas and facility check-in environments.

By combining self-service workflow support with the PP9732W touch display, XELF II provides a practical platform for operators looking to improve guest flow, reduce front desk pressure and support a more efficient check-in experience.
